Dependency swapping.
Plus, HHT can edit Halo CE maps.
EDIT: @ JK: Tee hee. ^_^

No, you can't. You can do
meta swaps, but not dependency swaps.

now...with hht you can do this faster...but
extract the meta
open the xml with notepad
find your dependancy
swap it...
like i said it only takes a minute longer...but hey, your more open now kinda.

Well damn. Forgot about that. But it's still more of a hassle when there's a program that can do it much quicker and cleaner.

Why take the long path when the shorter one leads you to the same result?
I will admit that I would've never thought of that, but that's only because I knew the easiest and most efficient way already.

Who's stopping you? Go ahead.

ok so say you want to pmi an AI
"omgz all the tuts say to pmi the bipd, actr, and actv i must do that"
no...actually all you need to recursively extract is the actv...and all you need to put in when you rebuild is "plasma_rifle.actv.meta" because all these tags are linked through the xml...hmt knows to grab what tags.
say you want to do multiple weapons...oh but you dont want the "hassle" of dealing with those tags...do i hear a itmc?
itmc have the weapons tags referenced in them...so walla...the weapons come out with the extraction...you rebuild by choosing the itmc.
"woah i just cut my pmi time from 20 minutes to like 2."

Well I could walk 10 miles, but why not drive if I have a car? I'd still get to my destination, which is what it was about, but why not save time and effort if I have the option to do so?

Ah yes, on topic: HHT is an extremely useful tool. Honestly, I can't think of a single use for meta swaps, and your way of dependency swapping is, well, dumb. HHT does the job way faster in a more organized fashion. I use it all the time.

Many people don't know that hht has tag editing aswell. Press the blue arrow where it says dependency swapper.
