Rebuilding Map Error..

i recently rebuilt a map it had a SP to MP bsp and a CE to PC scenerio and a couple of pmi'd scenerio objects in it. and the rebuild went great but when i try and load the map in spakedit it crashs at loading bitmap effects\particles\solid\bitmaps\largeinsect. and in gives me a exception in HPC. what do you guys think went wrong with the rebuild? :?

sparkedit doesnt like CE scenario's...i tried to update my CE scenario (converted the map to pc)but everytime i clicked save, then reopened it, it would come up with this error, and i would exception in PC.

(Here comes conure to prove me wrong :P)

i converted a ce scenerio of hangemhigh too pc and it worked fine. what is wrong here is a bitmap i think. could the problem be the fact that the bsp has weather attached too it?

well see...sparkedit does something to make CE->PC maps exception....dont use sparkedit...

does it just exception even right after you convert it?

did you add rain? if so you need to add some of the appropriate particles and point physics during your rebuild. What BSP did you use?

yes i pmi'd the rain and the pmi was succesful. just something seems too be crashing the game. ive looked at its somemore and it seems too be crashing after it loads the large insect bitmap which is odd. i dont know what went wrong during the pmi but its weird. and im trying too figure out waht.

and the map wont open in sparkedit it just crashes half way through the load.

just to make sure, add effects/point physics/rain,
levels/c10/rain
effects/particles/solid/bitmaps/Everything in that folder.
I do this because when i first pmied rain i did it without a tut and was unsure which bitmaps it used. If it references to an unknown dependency, sparkedit will crash. For example, say you need large insect and small beetle. If you only added large insect, it would crash right after when it searched for black beetle, which didn't exist. So just to be save, add all of those bitmaps. That won't give you an error because your map never references to them. Try rebuilding again but with more files. Hope that works

i looked in hht the weatherparticle has all the dependencys referenced correctly. nothing is missing. im thinking that it is just too much for a rebuild too handle being SP to MP a CE to PC and a PMI all in one map.

also i tryed rebuilding the map with JUST the sp to mp bsp and it worked perfectly but i need the scenery objects and new scenerio for this too be a good map.

There have been sp>mps ce>pcs in the past, they work fine you probably didnt set it up right (yes i said YOU)

but its not just a normal crash like if there was just a corrupted bitmap its more like its half loading the crashing and thats wats confuseing me. im try the rebuild again right now and seeing if i can get it on atempt 2.
