whatever happened to the intelligent posts, about the real modding of halo, about mod ideas etc.

i think, there should be another forum, called, how to area, where people ask questions, this forum should be kept for mod discussion, ideas, and general modding of halo

Yea, I left 1 forum a long time ago because of n00bs, then another. Sad thing is that with Mono gone, this one is looking awfully like a possible 3rd... *sigh*

Honestly... the n00bs here almost make hackhalo look attracting...

the noobs are going to lash out for us calling them noobs, until you know a sufficient amount of modding, YOU ARE A NOOB!!! i mean, ive never posted any of my mods, ive never made an amazing one, and the ones i do do, have already been done goddamit!

but i know enough not to be a noob!!!

noobs are ruining this forum, not because they are noobs at modding, becuase the way in which they are new, they are new, and annoying...

posting the same thing over and over...

it will never stop, the second the HEK comes out bang, even more questions!! how do i open teh program, i can take a crap without crying, the list goes on, damn you noobs...

damn it, you found me out... ok, this was a relatively stupid post, but i do feel this forum is meant for intelligent discussion, mod ideas, modding DISCUSSION. i think that howto questions should be kept in another forum, also, the amount of nnpd (new noobs per day) is decreasing alot, a new forum would allow new people to go there instead, as it is a new forum, the new people wouldnt have to use the search button, the posts would all be new

who remebers the times back in nov/dec where there were good posts. and meta.

Here's the thing, you make comments about intelligent posts, the mere fact that you posted it denotes you of having intelligence...why you ask?

You complain and moan about things that you cannot change, people will always ask questions, questions will always be repeated, if you don't like this fact, then I suggest you leave. I would rather be able to actually help someone with a repeated question, rather than a new one which no-one can solve at that moment.

No point getting annoyed about things you can't change, everyone started somewhere, these n00bs as you call them don't really deserve to be stereotyped, you are patronising them by 'categorising' them as such. I'd find it rather insulting....

As you don't know these people you can't assume that they are new, or aren't intelligent, there are many many competencies that people here on these forums have, its not a good start to assume different, that my friend, is why this thread is un-intelligent..

firstly, the aim of this post was to get this forum (THIS one specifically) to do its duty (mod ideas, general discussion about modding halo) i do not think it is a place for new people or people who understand less than most regular modders to explain their problems with their specific map or a program or whatever, that, is specifically for the HMT and sparkedit forums... anything to do with them should be in there!

e.g. sp->mp conversions not working, post in hmt, many do, but alas, many dont...

e.g. why does sparkedit show up boxes instead of textures, in the Sparkedit forum, its not the fact that they know much less that annoys me (i was one for a long time-- im quite stupid sorry ) its the fact that they do not post in right areas, reposting, POSTING ALL IN CAPS!!!, its manly the disregard for posting rules and posting in the right forum...

i do not feel as if they are less intelligent, in fact, i think most are MORE intelligent than me! but i feel they could use this intelligence in the right way...

this forum is for idea posting, mod discussion and that is really all! enough said.

people will post anything wherever there is a post topic button tbh....only thing that stops them, is the mods....they arent enforcing it...

im pretty responsible when it comes to things like these, and i visit 3-4 times a day when i post and 2-3 when i dont.

I refresh the forum list at least once every half an hour whilst I'm modding :D
