Ideas for new mod

Frankly, I'm stumped, I'm creating a mod for the halomods community and my clan, but I really cant think of anything else to put in it.

I really want to modify the flamethrower somehow, but theres a lack of models, skins, and any mod for that matter for the flame thrower.

I also can't PMI for crap, none of tutorials work for me, i guess.

So if you have any ideas for the mod (sidewinder), your more than welcome to post it here, and credit will be given for models, skins, or any other help.


EDIT: I just remembered from one of the tuts, it said something about sidewinder not being able to be able to rebuild right because of two //s in one of the Scenery tags, maybe thats the problem?

try pmiing into bg first to make sure you cant pmi worth crap...cause if it works, you just have to do something with sidewinder, cant remember at the moment, like delete the tree tag or something.

I tried with blood gulch, but when I try to import the wraith into the scenario, it still doesn't show up in the list...

okay thats most likely a sparkedit error...

open HMT and swap the wraith for w/e that tank or something

It worked, I don't know weather to be happy or disappointed, because I don't know what to do for sidewinder...

short way...delete the missing tag

longway
1. get 3dsmax
2. make an exact replica of sidewinder
3. convert that to PC with out the missing tag
4. do whatever :P

I did it, without taking the tag away.

Somehow it worked, and i switched it off for the turret. :)

yeah i have one...smoke on the ground and "fire in the sky" :P

how about a foggy sidewinder, with rain...lol sounds kinda cool

a snowy level, with fog, and rain

thanks, that will be useful, but i dont want to make it too dark, or else the scenery's bitmaps will look like crap.

GUYS! heres how to fix the missing tag. once you have batch extracted in your pmi, go to levels/test/sidewinder/scenery/trees/pine_tree_tall (or something very close to that. there are three metas and three XMLs. open up the XMLs in notepad and look for a line that basically states the location of the tag (levels/test/sidewinder/scenery/trees/pine_tree_tall). But somewhere in there there are two slashes. like this:
levels/test/sidewinder/scenery//trees/pine_tree_tall
which makes 0 sense. delete the extra slash.
do the same thing in the other 2 XMLs. TADA! now that the location is fixed HMT can find the tag and its all good.
