no matter where i look i cant find a good turtorial on how to put weapons into a map. any ideas?

What specifically are you wanting to put into your map?

ya a gun like a rocket or a sniper rifle

just open the map in sparkedit, select any weapon, duplicate it, swap it to be the one you want, and put it where you want.
