covie dropship help

ok i put a cdropship in BG(was not thinking going to put in infinity or watever ) i need help with the veiw u cant see eny thing when u are driving plaese help

this is 1 step in my new mod im going to put tons of bots wraiths and stuff.
plaese help

ok, open it up in hmt3.5 you know, go to vehicas, etc. go to seat 0 and click the switch that says third person, and save

gameman86, no, that justs makes the view worse, as the cov. dropship is so big.

If someone could add a camera track dependency to the Cov. Dropship vehicle file, I could fix this easily. But, until then, keep it in First Person. That works pretty well.

Well, if you put the drivers view into First Person, you have a wonderful straight view or whatever... just keep enemy radar on, and you'll possibly pick up the movement of that enemy tank getting ready to blast your ass outta the sky. :wink:

Swap the covenant dropship camera track to airplane_large_loose..

Boy, Kamaztzu, you lack brains...

The Cov. Dropship from A30 has no camera track at all.

Just swap its track for airplane_large_loose and ull get perfect third person

ok iv swapped the actv with the hog but is there a way to us the origonal driver seat i tryed to to make it W-driver B-driver

Kamatzu, the Covenant Dropship DOES NOT HAVE A TRACK. NO TRACK! NO. TRACK. Otherwise, your method would work.

Please excuse me if I'm wrong, too. I only looked at the C. Dropship from a30, and it had NO TRACK. :?

Its as if they don't listen anymore!

There is no track to denullify! There is no dependency for a track! You can't change a track! There is no track specified for it, and there is no track to denullify! X.X

then make one

edit: copy the track from one vehicle, rename everything that is dependent in that track to the covie dropship, in the xml, then save everyone (unless your using HOD) and rebuild, or something like all that.

Example: pelican.trak.xml (or something like that)
rename it to c_dropship.trak.xml (think that will work for that part)
edit the xml to have al the words "pelican" replaced with "c_dropship"
save and rebuild.

OK, look, I don't think you guys understand me.

You can not just add a track with the XML by copying one from something else. You need to make a dependency for it in the vehicles XML files. Now, those weird numbers in the XML do something that we don't completely understand, and therefore, can't add a dependency such as this. Ok?

Okay guys.... Im gonna sound like a complete n00b here, but i have an idea. Its a long shot, but an idea none-the-less.

When your escape from the Truth And Reconcilliation, Keyes "flies" the Covie Dropship out of the cruiser. Is this one possibly pilotable? oR is that just a cutscene, because i dont recall ever seeing them actually getting in

HELP IS NOW HERE! Ok swap defalt unit camara track for airplane large loose. You will need to import the Air_Plane_large_loose into BG though.

No _ between air and plane, ICE. :wink:

Anyways, if you PMI the dropship into BG, the camera thing should be there almost automatically... unless it was imported with the Lifepod or the Pelican... :?:
