HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

i wanted to edit the words displayed on the screen for when you die, pick up a weapon, etc., but when i try read the strings in unicode (UTF) using hexeditor they are all messed up. anyone know how to change it?

did you keep the periods...it should be .%.s. .w.a.s. .k.i.l.l.e.d. .b.y. .%.s.
