Pelican with a turret

Does anyone know how to add mounted weapons on a pelican without having to use Halo CE?

you have to use CE put convert it to PC so then it looks like your an amazing modder...

Rip from coldsnap, taimat stated that people can rip from his maps all they want as long as he gets credit, you'll have to use ce. www.halpc.net has some tuts on ce-pc conversion.

you dont have to use ce, you could just do a bit of xml/hex editing to add gun to the pelican

Thanks, that's a little closer to what I had in mind... Something similar to the "secondary fire for a ghost" thing...

However, if I do use the CE tags, I wouldn't know how to put them in the map- I have 0.074% experience required to use CE map utilities.

Well, I really would like to know how to...I mean...what would be a good single player level to have a turreted Pelican?

i thought you meant a pelican the had a turret on the back seat place. not a turret so it would just shoot out of the pelican

i tried pmi'ing that thing today...worked fine in all the tools....froze halo......

I actually would like both features in it. You know the Halo 2 Pelican has a hellfire cannon I think, and has a turret in the back as well. Hmm, maybe someone has done a Pelican based off of Tiamat's Pelican (it also pics up vehicles)

By hellfire do you mean that turret that hangs under the driver area and then shoots too? That would be a good idea, in regards to what phenomena said about attaching the warthog turret on the back with xml editing maybe you could attach a remodeled "cd gun"(the little turret ai thats attached to the covenant dropships) and then make it shoot out like a warthog turret, but then again this would probably need to be done with CE, unless phenomena's new plug-in could make this happen (but I think it might not work with pelican's, since the descending button is ctrl)

The coldsnap one sucked, it was as hard as h*** to drive, rip Hugeass.

its hard to rip either of those map cuz most of the vehicles and weapons in there use ce bitmaps and sounds.

Yeah, your right it is hard to drive and flips about a lot, but i see that it would fit on pc. Whereas the Hugeass one isn't fit for a PC map in my opinion, since it's way too destructive and shouldn't have those massive guns and rockets, pelicans are more for using to transport a large amount of people. Oh and Moose you have non-recursively save all ce vehicles and weapons, and all the parts to the them, including sounds and bitmaps, which shouldn't be too hard.

there exactly the same just add a .meta to then end when you save it
