I got a request to make a nerf version of halo and i dont want to start until i know theres not a much better and easier method. So, the only problem im facing is this: can anyone tell me the easiest way to make a needle look like a nerf pellet? :? any help would be appreciated....

umm, talking from a non-modders point of view, there should be a file in the weapons section which has all the bullet/round types. one should contain the needles... just load this up in a modelling program and edit it. also, there might be another file (possible in the effects bit, i dunno) where it creates that purple glow behind the needles... you will either need to remove this or change its colour (possibly it is an image so you just change the colours, or you might need to re-input the colours with code to ones that suit your desire)

hope this helps a tiny bit

thanks for the response, but i figured it out :D . i models the needles, deleted all their glowy effects and contrails, and skinned them. i also set their explode timer to 999. im quite happy with the mod, i modeled and skinned all the weps and made it so grenades are water balloons  .

Picture lazy (my) way.
Attach file of the image (not compressed) and it'll show up in a d/l box. (visible)

Or upload to some site like imageshack or photobucket and use:

Code: Select all

Guess you can't in the discussion thread. Photobucket or Imagshack then.
