I hate my computer

Alright first of all, whenever I start Halo CE, that first screen that says Halo and then the gearbox software and bungie studios logos in the bottom corners, takes like a minute to go away. What's wrong with that?
Also, after I open sapien, on certain maps I can use the camera to pan around a bit, but after a few seconds the thing freezes and the screen goes black, and the current sound it was playing loops over and over in a glitchy way. WTF!
And finally, whenever I play halo online, lan or internet, I can play safely for a few minutes, but after about 3 minutes the game freezes and does the same thing it does in sapien, forcing me to turn off the computer and restart which takes a painfully long while.
What is wrong? I can't play halo, PC or CE, and I can't map in CE either. This sucks. Anyone know what's wrong? (My computer is nice and fast, so this shouldn't be happening.)

i only know the answer to 1. halo ce takes so long because it is loading maps made by other people. maps its not used to loading. and notice it skips the screens that halo pc has just to load (bungie gearbox, then microsoft games) basicly the more maps you have the longer your going to see that

Ok, thanks, I kind of suspected that. I still need help with the other things.

TOSHIBA Satellite M115-S3094 Laptop
Centrino duo processor @ 1.6GHz (3.2GHz total)
1GB RAM
128MB Intel 945GM gfx card
Is that enough...?
And BTW when I start sapien it says increasing sound buffer or something...

I'm not sure but I think that's an old card, you might want to upgrade it
The sound buffering problem might be your sound card , might wanna look into that

That's an extremely new card. Halo even said it was below the requirements when I first got it because it didn't recognize it. It works fine for halo.
And if it is the sound card, which it probably is since it glitches up halo and sapien, then how do I fix the problem?

right click on the halo or halo CE icon on your desktop (the shortcut)
goto properties
add " -video" with out the "" U NEED THE SPACE

to the end of the Target location ("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe")
so if it was haloit would be
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -novideo
the target will be different for CE but still just add -novideo
*edit same thing u do with -console
also u can put it in any order if u already have -console
(" -console -novideo) (" -novideo -console)
just for kicks u can add -window to play the game in a windowed screen

Make sure that the Windows XP SP2 Firewall isn't trying to block Halo from using your net. Might be the same case for Sapien too.

John:
1. Doing what you said will disable the video for halo. How the **** will that help me?
2. It'll only apply to halo, not sapien.
Paradox:
It isn't. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to play online at all. BTW sapien doesn't use the net.

The only thing I can think of is allow the ports in your firewall, the port number would be the port number in your Halo I.P. address, same thing happened to me and then i tweaked up the ports and then it worked.

Dude, the internet works. It just freezes for some reason randomly, sometimes when I play. BTW it happens in campaign and online.

its probaly because its a laptop, (a toshiba laptop to boot) laptops can be funky when playing games, they aren't exactly the best choice, try using sapien and halo on a desktop, it'll run a lot better.

Well the graphics card is definetly very old (old as in not very good). Almost all Intel chip-sets are horrible.
