Pistol mod isn't working

I tried to make the pistol shoot rockets but it didn't work. I tried to make a game online but it stopped as soon as the game was about to start. If anyone can help me with this mod it would be very much appreciated.

Try again, but this time instead of using HMT3, use a HEX editor, its easier to do it there...(You probably did something wrong when switching it in HMT)

lol its simpler in HMT, he doesn't have to go finding and dl'ing the offsets list, dling a hex editor, and doing it from there.
I don't understand how you can get an exception from a simple projectile swap.
In HMT, go down to projectiles, highlight the rocket projectile, and above the long list there will be a meta box, with an 8 character code in it, highlight it, right-click and copy, then in the list highlight the pistol bullet, and paste the value from the rocket into that box above, click the save button to the right of meta stuff, close map then your done.

I have hex editor and i switched the values but not the offset. When I try to start the game online the screen goes black.

I also did not extract the files and i don't know how to. Can someone please help me. I don't know how to extract the files. And yes this is my first time modding anything.

In sirluke's tutorial he said wait 15-30 seconds for the exrtaction of the files.

if your just swiching the pistle projectile u dont have to extract eny files
