Changing Colour of Plasma Ball

I'd like to change the Plasma Rifle and Plasma Pistol's plasma bolts/shots/whatever to make them red rather than blue and green respectively. I tried editing the Plasma Rifle Contrail and Plasma Pistol Contrails, but it had no effect. Any ideas?

Some of it Involves skinning I believe, If I remember correctly from the Brute Plasma Rifle Mod

For the skinning part you could change in "effects" the "flash c generic muzzle" - "smoke c generic" - "smoke white c generic". If you change these to red you will have red flashes when you fire and i think it makes the plasmarifle fire partly red. But it will also affect your pistol, banshees and ghost flash and the plasma ball trail.

might be better not to change the "smoke white c generic" as it will effect mor things.

To make the bolt itself change color, you have to edit the mgs2 tag of the appropriate item.
