How to make Banshee's fly through walls.

:::: How to make the Banshee fly through walls::::

1: Back up your map.

2: Cut Deathisland.map and put it in its own folder.

3: Open up HMT v3 and Batch Extract Deathisland.map.

4: Once its done open d20.map in HMT v3 and go to the Vehicles branch.

5: Click on Vehicles/Banshee oldplayback/Banshee oldplayback

6: Recusively save the META in the folder that Deathisland.map is in.

7: Open up Deathisland.map in HMT v3 again.

8: Click rebuild in the tools options.

9: Then click Browse

10: Select Deathisland.map; when it askes you if you :

Do you wish to automatically fill in the required files

based on the path and name of the selected map file?
_______________________________________________

Click yes.

11: Click add; You should be in the Batch Extracted folder

12: Go to Vehicles, then banshee, Select ALL of the meta files that you see at first and Click OPEN.

13: Click Add again: you should still be in the Banshee folder. Click bitmaps; Then open all the Meta files

14: Click on the back arrow; Then go to effects and do the same as you did with bitmaps

15: Get all the META from all the folders.

16: Click BUILD and wait for the map to finish rebuilding.

17: Open up the Rebuilt map in Spark Edit 3.02 and go to Tools.

18: Click import tag into senario.

19: Select Banshee old playback and click OK.

20: Save changes.

21: Go back to HMT v3 and open the Rebuilt map.

22: Swap the Banshee_mp with Vehicles/Banshee oldplayback/Banshee oldplayback.

23: Save and play!

NOTE:::: The model WILL be perfect do to they fact that they have the same models.

Is it only the Banshee? Or can you do it with other vehicles? (Just swap the model back from Banshee to a Warthog with HHT)

How to make other vehicles do the same.


once you did the tut above:

switch the <need a vehicle name here> phisics with the banshee old playback. THEN in the <need a vehicle name here> vehicle tag swap the Vehicle ID to Banshee.(in the little box that says turrent dropship and other vehicles.)

Well, I suppose if people are shooting your ass you can go hide in a wall lol. Kinda cheap really :D

Kinda like pelicans, a great big honking metal thing that casts a shadow over you, you look up and wham, you got no chance of dodging that beast lol. Damn vehicle noobs :P

I'm sure you can also just null out the Collison Model of the Banshee.

No but this coll is codded so it doesn't fall out of the level when you get out. And hey; It has great handleing!

no, nulled collision models still connect with bsp.

Heh walls ARE BSP. Meaning they couldent go through it then. Ohh and try getting in one of the Banshee's at the end of d20.map before cortana says "We should comendere 1 of the banshee's" you get to driver it around and go through walls! Thats how I got the idea of rebuilding a map with one in it!
