It appears there was once scenery there, and you deleted. If I'm mistake.

the name is
levels/test/deathisland/deathisland or something like that. there are 21 textures, but i don't know which ones apply to those black spots.

I dont know what you did, but It seems you either made the scenery invisible with a texture, or deleted it. Im sure you make it invisible with a texture, because if you deleted them in SparkEdit then you would not be seeing those shadows.

maps create the shadows. If you move scenery in sparkedit, the shadow of the scenery will stay in the same spot. It's just a type of bitmap.
If you edit out the shadows in Photoshop (Or just make new ones with Tool in CE), they won't be there.

i think you need to delte the detail_objects_collection first in Sapien
NOTE: dont forget to ask permission if you rip CE stuff before posting it
