Turret in Death Island

Sry i'm asking for this but can someone send me a death island.map with turrets cause none of the tuts are working for me...and can you duplicate the warthog so theres another one called turret for my mod, i'm trying to add flak-like anti-aircraft

Isn't there already covie turrnents there? Why have hog turrnets? Ohh well it would be cool.

No, i want hog turrets in death island cause none of the tuts work for me

BUT i dont want to replace the hog, so could you duplicate the hog and call it turret then do your stuff off that one?

I followed 2 different tuts on how to do this...First one active camos some of the bitmaps/shaders of the hog then turns off all collision parts of the hog except ones for the gun then you place the hog turrets in se. but since i didnt want to replace hogs, i duplicated them then did the same thing, i imported the tag in sparkedit and tried swapping them for other objects, worked in sparkedit but they didnt appear ingame.

Second tut is similar but instead of camoing the bitmaps, it takes away their models.

both didn't work

did u try doing it over because ive followd tuts before and if u mess up one little thing in the process it doesnt come out right

Learn how to Hex Edit..... HMT nerd. go here for the tut THis is why I strongly sugest learning how to Hex Edit BEFORE you go to HMT.

Sry icefire, but i'm not a hex edit kinda guy, confusing, i'd rather have instant results with hmt, even if it does take a little bit of figuring out out

Where do you think al the good modders started? Like iron forge! Or mono before he made HMT.

oh and icefire, that tutorial isnt what i wanted, i need the turret seperate from the hog, i dont need to move it, cant i just do that in spark edit?

Yo dude you prolly made your mistake in duplication not in the tutorials. If you have any further questions on duplication (my specialty) just Pm me. ok?

You can't move the turret from the hog.
Why would that work? :P

1.
Try by taking off all of the collsion model pieces of the hog (in the branch "[coll] Collsion Model"). But dont take off anything thats related to the turret.

2.
Then go to the branch "[vehi] Vehicle" and pick the hog. And at the right click the boxes, Kill Physics, Kill Antenna, Lower Turret to Floor.

3.
After you done that you can change the bitmaps of the hog into the cryo tube (but not the turret). Or you can change the shader model in the branch "[soso] Shader Model" with "characters\cyborg\shaders\shield hit" in the branch "[spla] Shader Plasma." I like changing the shaders because when u change the bitmaps u gotta make an extra .ppf file (well thats what I think).

4.
Now move it in Spark Edit. And your done!
