Pillar of autum hanger mod help

I am new to modding (slightly) and am trying to use sparkedit to make a portal or some form of accessing the hanger in the pillar of autum. Is this possible, and if it is how do I go about doing it (since they are on different parts of the level, well, different 'levels' of the level) feel free to AIM me...

I don't think you can put teleporters in singleplayer maps with spark edit. In HEK probably.

I use hek for some things, but i'm not very good using it. Are there any tutorials that you might reccomend relating to teleporters?

adding tele's are easy peasy. In sapien go to "Game Data" in the hierarchy window, the "netgame flags" then right click in the game window where you want your teleporter to start, then make the type to "teleporter from," then make another flag and change the type to "teleporter to." Make sure that the teleporters team index is the same.

I'm not sure if it will work in campaign though, you might need a script.

if you need tutorials on the baisics of HEK theres a tutorial in your HALO CE directory.

while your at it put a flag in the pillar of autuom :P and make it shoot rockets :D and add a teleporter too outside the pillar and then extract the jets from coldsnap and fly around :roll:

wow! that was a rant.

I know about the tutorial, but it doesn't seem very informative to me. I wanted to use sparkedit because i like it's user interface more, plus, HEK is for CE, is it not? I tried changing the hex for a map i downloaded to change it to pc, but it didnt work. (hugeass) perhaps the file is too big or because of the odd vehicles and weapons and i didn't do something right. I renamed it to one of the map names in the folder already (i think it was bevercreek) and got an error when i selected battle creek from the menu in the game. It told my I had modifyed the file 'bevercreek.map' and to try reinstalling halo: combat evloved

You can't just change the HEX code and rename the map to make it work. For maps not made by bungie you have to convert the bsp to a scenery tag. And you'll need the maps JMS for that. But with the maps bungie made all you have to do is compile the map, HEX it to work with HMT, extract the files NON recrusivly then rebuild with the PC map and bsp. If you just want to add teleporters then do it in HEK, do the HEXing then extract the scenario file, rebuild and your done.
