Need help with importing a certain sound

ok i wanted to recreate the nuke warning from mono's library mod so i tried importing it over the rocket launcher fire sound it imported but the length was still about 2.17 seconds and the nuke sound is 16 seconds any help?! i just want the sound for a normal rocket launcher

just pm someone that made a mod with their own sounds and ask them how they did it.
