Can you still play Halo PC online after applying multiplayer mods like flying turrets?

some mods

Post by M.A.C. »

you can still use some mods if you are not hosting but they will only have a visual effect. For example, if you have a mod that makes a pistol shoot a rocket it will look as if you are shooting a rocket to you but the damage effects will be the same as a normal pistol. Or is you have the high speed vehicle mod on you will speed up but warp back to where it would be at normal speed making driving very difficult. However if you have a mod such as the flying turrets you will simly not be able to join.

when you join a server, a message goes to your computer from the server to load your personal copy of the map they are usin (like bloodgulch) i am not 100% sure how it works exactly but if you join an unmodded server and you have mods, if they are skins or different sounds, you shouldn't have a problem, if your bsp is different (bsp is the actual info of stuff like the ground and cliffs, not scenery, just there. the actual level) then you will attempt to join, get an exception error because your map doesn't match their's, and the game will crash.
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

ok heres the deal, if you mod a map and you join another server that doesent have the mod u have it will get all laggy and start skipping and u start seeing things that arent really there and than the grim reaper jumps out of the screen and kills u!!

OMG RUN!!

well..i think i handled that in a very calm and noobish type way... who wants beer?
