Possibly the greatest idea to ever come from a monkey
Possibly the greatest idea to ever come from a monkey
Here's a mod idea to get people's brains stewing...
Replacing the MC model with a model of one of the Lego men...imagine it, up to 16 Lego men running around, gunning each other down in fury. Properly implemented and skinned, I think this mod would be incredibly fun, even if for a little while.
The Warthog could be remodeled and skinned, as well, turned into some form of Lego Warthog. I suppose you could go a step further and end up remodeling all the weapons, as well.
Ideas? Thoughts? Rants? Insults? Jabs? Cries of lunacy?

Insults: ROFLMAO!!!!! Even though it sounds good, you would have to be a good modder.
Cries of Lunacy: Are u insane??? It would ruin the Halo-look. If you were to do this, you would have to re-skin the entire map to make it look half good.
I do applaud you on our idea, though.

ya and heres my idea on how 2 do it: use hht to swap all of the models of everything (mc, cars, guns) with the lowest model of that item. u kno how the highest model is the most detailed and is the 1 u c up close, if u swap that with the lowest detailed model, mc will look like a few blocks put 2gether

You can't do that with HHT, you would have to insert models over again.blink 182 wrote:ya and heres my idea on how 2 do it: use hht to swap all of the models of everything (mc, cars, guns) with the lowest model of that item. u kno how the highest model is the most detailed and is the 1 u c up close, if u swap that with the lowest detailed model, mc will look like a few blocks put 2gether
While that's an interesting theory as well, I dont think it would work quite as well as making all the models from scratch. Does anybody know if there is a way to import models made in Lightwave into Halo, such as reverse engineering the model in a program such as Milkshake or Blender?blink 182 wrote:ya and heres my idea on how 2 do it: use hht to swap all of the models of everything (mc, cars, guns) with the lowest model of that item. u kno how the highest model is the most detailed and is the 1 u c up close, if u swap that with the lowest detailed model, mc will look like a few blocks put 2gether
Well then, it would be a simple matter to model the base character in LightWave....I have it and could probably whip it out in an hour or so....and then import it into Milkshape, animate it (the little turd will on have 4 joints....two arms and where his legs meet his....little socket thingys...blink 182 wrote:yaya import it in milkshape then export it as a WAVEFRONT OBJ model
The hardest part would be modeling the new weapons, and the Scorpion and Warthog, I should think, as well as actually implementing it into the game. Making all the different colors available to the player wouldn't be terribly difficult, either. Could theoretically be used for every mode of multiplayer game.
We may have to erase the idea of the Banshee and Ghost being in the game, unless someone can come up with some creative way to model them realistically. I think the Warthog and Scorpion, with their more angular shapes, would translate into Lego-model more fluidly than the organic forms of the Covenant craft.
I know, this sounds awfully complicated, but think of how cool it would be. Your own little LemC (Lego MC) running around, an apathetic smile on his yellow plastic face like a psychotic killer on the loose.
