To get the model into milkshape, you first open you map file in hmt, then go to pc models tab. Find the turret and say export the model. When it asks to export triangle stuff, say yes. Go into milkshape, and got to File, import. Choose to import obj (because that what the model you just exported from halo is) find the turret obj file from where you saved it. Then it will be there for you to edit. When you edit it, remember never to add or remove vertices, just move them around. So just edit what you want, then say export it as a .obj file when your through. Then go back into hmt, go find the turret model again, and this time, import the .obj file you just edited in milkshape. Thats it, then you got your new turret model.
Have fun modeling!

Vortex's? lol
If that wasn't a typo, than you've really got to learn your geometry

I've seen lots of this recently. It could be a new form of dislexia.
