I was messing around, and this happened. I took the Forest Gulch mod, and took all of the trees out in SparkEdit, then saved it. Then I loaded it in Halo, and it looks like the origianl. Pictures below...

What am I missing?

In Spark Edit

In Game

Also, what are the little Hill boxes in BG do? As far as I can tell, they are supposed to make you slide a little.

EDIT - I just noticed this, but the first time I did this, I cut out a section of trees and saved it. Now if I look around the map, that section I cut out is gone. So I tryed redoing it all with the origianl map file, and saved it, and put it in halo, and all the trees are still there, but that patch I deleted a long time ago is still gone!!! This is driving me crazy.

This is quite odd...if you find out the solution, tell me. I had a similar notion to tweak with this a bit and make my own mod using the darkness.

Hey, if you can't figure that out, I have made a tutorial on how to darken the levels on your own, which I'm pretty sure can be applied to any level.

If you wanna see it, go here: http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6072

The trees are the little floor arrows, most will be underground.

its not the darkening alone, there are multiple things that I cant find in FG that I want on my own like the bolt brightness and such

Instead of deleting trees shove them so far above, or under the map that they dont spawn....deleting can be....buggy

lol your right. I thought you were just some nut saying random things, but I looked under the map and there they are. Thanks.

PS - Anyone know why in the heck it is like that?

He had rebuilt the map with those from sidewinder. Replaced the arrow with the trees and voila...
