hex moddin prob.
hex moddin prob.
hey, i just edited a BG map on the hex editor and followed every step in the tutorial. I start my own game, and then when the map loads, the weapons and map are the exact same. Does anyone know why? What did I do wrong?
When da moddin starts, da fun begins!

I'm a bit confused, I'll try to help though, sorry if alot of these things are known by you.
First, you download the OFFSETS for the maps on Iron_Forge's website, not the maps.
Second, if you want a new copy of a normal non-edited map, right-click the CD drive and explore it, go to "FilesCab", and go to the third cab for BG. The cab numbers all have maps... they are in alphabetical order. Example: Cab one contains maps that start with A, two has A and some of B...
Third, you could try saving it in the MAPS folder... hee hee hee.
Hope that helped a little.
