do u think that u could mod the marines to be MCs and have them drive the hog'? or would this involve A.I. and meta?
(also tell me if this was dicussed about already so we don't waste a thread)

It would definately involve A.I., silly head. If you made marines into MCs somehow, they would be lifeless because nothing controls them. A. I. is how smart anything other than animal brain is, or the intellegence itself.

well i knew that but i just asked it wrong. i was really wondering is if u can be an elite and go in a wraith why can't a marine be a MC and go in a hog'?

i have made them into mc's (through a model switch) and the rest involves meta an AI

Yes, the marines can drive in Halo 2. It was shown in the E3 video. Scripting is another way around the marines driving, however, the restriction is that of the script and waypoints. The vehicle would remain on a set path and seem lifeless and unreal. I'm sure you could do some form of scripting for Halo as I believe [hope] the SDK will tell you how.

and keep in mind marines an elite can both pilot ghosts (and elites can pilot banshees and wraiths, and grunts can pilot turrets) so there is info in there

Yes, in Halo you can be an Elite and Drive a Wraith. In Halo you can make a Marine into Mc. Also as HiveMind saids you need to change Ai because when playing you control Mc but not Marine. I suppose you can be a marine and do it. But in Halo a Marine changed to a MC is to stupid do drive that car.

and also in Halo 2 it looked like there were grunts in the ghosts
don't know for sure though

no, this is only aquired by using the infamous "bump" technique, which is like an AI switch.. not models.. its an xbox cheat.. although i havent tried just the models.. i doubt it though

Well, the bipeds aren't just models, you can swap them and a few traits of the swapp-ed stay. Swap MC with a sniper-marine, there are weapon restrictions and things along with the model. I was confused as to the hands though. They were greyish and I wasn't sure if they were MC's or not.

well if marines can drive gohts then if mabye if u switched somtin with the hog and gohst mabye then they can drive the hog

yup, you can.. and it works.. but its a floating hog.. lol, and they can still shoot the ghost thing.. so just a model switch...

yah seems like that would work...
but wat about banshees? has any1 gone through the trouble getting a banshee to a marine and see if he can pilot it?

also just a random question: wat is the difference between an actor and an actor varient?

no, the marines wont pilot it (if u use the banshee knockdown trick on aotcr and get it off the ledge for marines.. they jus look at u funny)
