Actually, this card very good. It supports every function of X-Box Halo, including Active-Camo effect. I recommend you get the laptop with it. I have a Radeon 9600XT 128 megs for my desktop. Laptops shouldn't go higher than 64 megs, because the battery will die out very fast. My dad's laptop has a Radeon 9000 32 megs and Halo looks great on it! It should pwn on your laptop.

im getting a sager from pctorque.com, most of their laptops have the 9600pro 128 turbo, and they have p4 at 800fsb and ht and their ram is 400ddr, and u can get 5400 and 7200rpm hds, and in a couple months they are getting the new m11, in a 17" laptop u get the 9700 256mb its the newest so no thats not the best vid card in a laptop by far.

It is the card. It only supports directx7. To see the other stuff you need at least directx 8.1 (which my radeon 9000 pro does).

lol I have the same graphx card
one thing that will help the game run faster is to create a gaming account (on ur computer). then what u do is go to start then run, then type 'msconfig' (on windows XP, i'm not sure what it is on other windows platforms). then click on 'selective setup', and then uncheck 'load system services' and 'load startup items'. then click on the 'services' tab, and scroll down. (for good measure) recheck 'plug and play' and 'universal plug and play', then click apply. I can get Halo to run with all features on SP at 1024x768 at about 70 fps without moving around too much. this helps a lot!
if ur budgets short, I'd recommend the radeon 9600 pro/SE 128 mb. the pro's $200 while I think the SE's about $150, and they're both very reliable while maintaining the price factor.

A bud of mine made his name longer, but said you needed to know how to hex edit.. is there anyone that can simplify making longer names than halo will allow, to compensate for clan tags?

huh... wow this actually hasnt been asked before
good job
unless i missed something
but you can change the names of something in Hew Workshop or any other hex program as long as it is the same amount or less number of characters
for example to change the "Worthog" to the proper name the "Puma"
im not completely sure about this with player names though
i need some help on this one

Quote Edit: Hew Workshop -> Hex Workshop
Quote Edit: Worthog -> Warthog
How do you change the name of a vehicle in Hex Workshop, that would ne neat to do.

open up a hex editor and search for the name of the vehicle in unicode.
essentially rebuild the map with the longer name.

Correct. If you want the name shorter just add spaces.
To make it longer edit the unicode string meta, save it, and rebuild the map with it.
