Remember those grenades in those movies that instead of the flurry blue stuff it's burning? Well, I really wanted to try that so I tried changing the effects and bitmaps to fire. Yet I couldn't get it to work... I tried everything. If you know please tell me by saying what to swap with what or how you do it step by step. Thanks to everyone who helps!

Well since the active grenade is considered a projectile in the hex data I doubt that you can do anything until Sapien comes out.

You need to swap the shaders, not the bitmap. I'm not sure exaclty what to swap, but they're in the shader model offsets I believe.

Ugh, thank you Dan. I thought you people knew "wheels on fire". The blue-green flare is a shader, so you have to find it in the shader and replace it with the shader "flame char".

It's in effects... The Wof. It's called slip sand. It's not under shader. But for plasma grenade... * Opens IronForges Offsets *

shaders

At the end of WOF it shows BOLL throwing grenades made of fire.

omg lol nooooooo it is not a shader i made the vid that it was in but all my mods all i do is random swaping of offsets ima try to figure out how i did it and ill get back to yall but im almost positive its bitmap of plas nade changed to i think the a bitmap in relation to a plasma gun smoke or somthin

lol there is no tutorial but i think the green comes from Pistol charged contrail to 1 of the 2 plas nade bitmaps.

Hey... what's the plasma nade's trail? I want to change it to flame...

since nobody actually answered this i will.. use hmt to extract bitmaps, then go to effects, energy, and its one of thoe bitmaps.. its blue and looks kinda like the nade flame.. theres several diff ones.. change and inject

Yep, Hivemind is right on this one.. I have done this myself and the results are pretty cool.
The real issue is getting the plasma nade explosion to be a fireball... Thats my current challenge. I'm going for a napalm look.
