Its one of the worst card available on the market. the 256mb edition use very slow 64bit ram.
In fact i think its the slowest card on the market...
Your 10x better with a ti-4200 or a Radeon 9600pro or xt....
BTW :what card do you have now?

dont get any of the geforce 4 cards as they dont support dx9 and not everything will work(effects) so it will look like those bland screenshots.

you arent going to be able to upgrade with only 96 dollars. what you get is pretty much the same thing you have now. a dx8.1 card. in order to display a decent picture you need a card capable of dx9 graphics. your cheapest bet would probebly the radeon 9500 64 megabyte gfx card. that card is approxemtly 125 dollars. i suppose you can get the 5200 but the 9500 is a way suporior card and you will get aot more fps.

GeForce FX 5200 128 mb edition. Better than Intel anyday. Supports DX9 and T&L. Actually, you need $120 up front but I beleive there is a $20 discount.

Very good beastman, you know your stuff. Don't be suckered into buying an fx5200! Even though they support dx9 they can't run in that mode without having an unplayable framerate. Go with the 9600 hands down. You will be glad you did.

try a
radeon 9600 SE... I dont actually have one, but I hear that they're the best deal for the bucks (in terms of gpx cards in general)...
anyone actually know how good/bad this card is? also, I think that on that site, it's used... if you dont want it used, get it at
tigerdirect... tho its 20 bucks more expensive there...
