Laser Tag mod

im starting work a lazer tag mod for bg, just wondering if any of you would play it?

Wouldn't you get the same effect if you changed the damage to something like 99999? Or if you made the stun time higher?

yeh, ofc i would play it...are there goin to be actual lasers or is it gonna be some invisable thing that goes so fast that no one can see it and just stun them for a long time?

It's laser tag, so I would turn the stun time higher.

I remember playing laser tag for real...

after doing about 20 tests last night to try and get the stun time working i have found that you cant actly "stun" them with out upping the damage, and in laser tag your shot dosent kill them. what i have done is made the shot shake your screen, you are still mobile but you couldnt do much. by being "stuned" it gives the attacker the chance to meele you, wich is what the main attack is. if your playing laser tag, if you punch your friend in the head, its going to hurt them pretty bad

. im most likely going to make it dark to give the lazers more glow. the gametype it is set for is pistols, i might modify it down the road but right now it is pistols. the human pistol fires banshee bullets, the main weapon. the covenent pistol on the other hand fires plasma nades, they can stick to a person but will do 0 dmg. the point of it is to be used as explosives in air, they have a 4-5 second delay so you can shoot them above/next to some one and then swich to lazer. the point of this mod is to create a lazer tag like enviroment, not massive slaughter like most others. for the people who need to kill plenty of people, learn to meele and your death toll will rize. updates later on

yeah, honestly. this is real spam, the stuff I'm accused of, the same stuff I don't do...
but anyway, I'd play it as long as
1. the sounds were updated a little
2. the gameplay mechanics are somehow changed
3. the mod has a theme and sticks to it... like having an appropriate new look

in fg the creator some how increased the lighting of a warthog and added extra lights on it, dose any one know how to do this?
the mid air explosion nades have been cut, i did a little testing and found it to be far to chaotic. it is now darker but still able to see fairly well.you have 1 "decoy". the decoy is just a mc, toss a plasma nade and you will see him spawn, they only live about 15 seconds ( still testing on how long it should be) to reduce choppyness. im considering doing 2 things with the lighting/texture.
1. i leave it how it is, fairly dark
2. i go full out lazer tag and make every thing black, sky , bases ect. then placing becons to out line cliffs, bases and such.
going with option 1 would leave less modding and less enjoyable for the eyes. using the becons i would probly out line most hings making it a glowing level. HunterXI i know how to change sounds but when i try they mess up, so if any one could help with it i would be greatfull.
well now to go work on the new base, it will mimic most lazer tag arenas. will keep you all update

you should make every weapon have the sniper contrail, but make it thinner, then make it red, that way it looks as if the laser leaves a contrail

yeah, I thought of that, but not every weapon actually *has* a contrail - or can you just give that a quick fix in HHT? and please, if you dont know what HHT does, please dont ask...
