Every now and then I will be hosting a halo mod server on my own. The server IP is 172.16.1.35:2302. The password is the same as halomods.com dedicated server: mappack1. That password will change along with halomods server. I'm not affiliated with them in any way and if this is in violation of some rule or another please tell me and I'll take it down. It's not going to be up all the time but sometimes, usually on weekday nights from 6:00-10:00. Stop by if you have a chance.
EDIT: lolz, forgot the name. its called mikes mods. same deal.

nope, no rule violations... a couple things:
1. what type of connection do you have?
2. are you running a DS?
3. the ip sounds iffy (sounds like a private address)... if you haven't done this already, go to
whatismyip.com to find your public address...

The only thing fishey that I see is that he also has the port # there too. It's unneeded.

everyone posts the port number, because they just copy paste the ip from Halo...
anyway, the port number is fishy because 172.0.0.X always means
your computer... like if you have a php server on your computer running... but Im not sure about 172.{anything else}...

LOL, wrong. That's 127.0.0.1 -- that's the REAL loopback address.
172.x.x.x would be a PUBLIC IP.
