How Do i kick/ban people

or how do i open console.

just help and tell me how.

start halo like this insted of the defualt halo.exe -console

edit your halo shortcut properites

Oh that's easy...i'll make steps



1.Make an extra short cut for halo.

2.ON THE EXTRA SHORT CUT right click i't and go to properties

3.then you should see a line that say target and should look similer to this...
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe"
4.change the TARGET line to this....
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console
all you have to do is add........ -console
You have too put a space between .exe" and -console

5.click apply and start halo BY CLICKING THE NEW SHORT CUT YOU MADE
NOT THE OLD SHORT CUT(keep the old one just use the new one)
6.Create your own game

7.Hit this key on your key bourd.......`

8. then at the botom left you should see the console command....

9. then type this......sv_kick then a space then type the user's name that you want to kick........
And and Presto!the person will automaticly quit!!!
for exsample lets say I was cuasing mischief on you server.... just hit `
then type (for exsample) sv_kick GOD
Then I would auto maticly quit......

You asked how to ban, banning is done by executing the console command:
sv_ban <name>

then type

then

halo -console

omg yes you have to be the Server Op dude it would be stupid if you could do it if you werent because in other words if a jackass came into the server he would bann everyone playing

Ok when you are in the console you input this.

rcon password command argument

Help: Password - type the admin server pass

Command Argument - input your command here.
example: sv_kick jimbob or if you put sv_players it will bring up a list off all the people who are in the server with a number for them which you can use to kick or ban that indavidual like doing this.

Say jimbob was number... 8, you write sv_kick 8 or sv_kick jimbob

Then if done correctly a text should come up in the console saying command finished, then on the screen it will say jimbob quit.

If you cant activate the console then there it two things wrong:

1st you either havent enabled rcon control over your server.

(If unsure how too do that input the following text into your server command prompt window "sv_rcon password password" (no qoutes and the final password text is what you type in as your server password like....jbadmin)

2nd you have either got the target text wrong or your not pressing the console key (` or for people unsure the key next too 1)

And too finish this, this is what your command should say.
