I have a question about modding halo pc. I downloaded the flying vehicles mod for death island and extracted them using winrar. But once i have these unzipped files i dont know what to do with them. Can someone please help me.

In our tutorial section there is a tut on how to apply PPF files.

I still can't find out where to put the files. I looked in the tutorial and it only told how to do crap on xbox, not PC.

It's done the same way, except the cache file you need is in the haloPC folder on your HDD.

I figured out the whole applying ppf files thing. First you should make a backup of the map you are modding and put it into another folder(incase you ever want to play the level normally).You need winrar and ppf-o-matic which can be found in the download section, simply unzip the downloaded file with winrar. Open ppf o matic and click on patch open button. select the unzipped mod you downloaded, then click the open button for the ISO file. Go to your halo/maps folder and select the level the mod is for.you will have to change the bar at the bottom to show all files, rather than CD images. after this simply apply the settings and enjoy , and remember to make a backup of the map! or you will have to reinstall when you want to play the map normally.

Well now i know ho too install PPF files on halo...but i was wondering is there a way too where u can install multiple PPF patches on one map? If so how....

it is not any diffrent if you want to add multiple ppf's. just do it more than once to the same map. you do not have to follow any diffrent procedure.

Hey i followed all the instructions on here, but ever since i tried to install that patch, whenever, i try to start up halo, it says gathering exception data and then it closes! can anyone help?

I have tried too aply multiple ppf patches too one map and just an error occurs it will only let me apply one ppf patch....

I applyied 2 ppfs with no problems, i dont know what is going wrong with yours.

I've applied about 3-4 PPF's on one map and it worked fine.

Can you play internet games that are not hosted by you with ppf's applied to maps?

e.g. If a mod is applied to Death Island (on my HDD) can I still join and play a game hosted, say, at the HBO Dedicated Server on Death Island?

yes but,lets say u made the pistol into the grav. gun, instead of seeing the pistol in a mp game online u wud see the grav. gun which would royaly screw u.

back to the whole applying ppf files, get hhht. im pretty sure its in this dl section, its much better than ppf-o-matic. if you already have it, then dont i feel stupid

ok iv seen stuff on the forums left and right bout applying the modes nad ppf's but how do u make them, can u tell me how to make the mod, THEN apply it?
