HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok, i just recently got Halo Pc, and want to try out soem mods. I have WinRar. Problem is, whenever i download the mod, and th Winrar thign comes up telling me about the mod, i dont know what to do. How to i play them?

When you download the map or ppf rar archive, open it when it finishes downloading and click extract and extract it to your Halo Maps directory.

Ha To many people these days think that winrar is a modding tool.

can u be just a little more specific on the type of mod, or file type? (ppf,rar,zip) mods can be applied many ways my friend

yeah u got to specific because there is many differnt ways of modding and u cant just say i want to no how to install a mod.

1. if it is a .MAP file overwrite the old file in maps folder under local c program files in microsoft games halo in the maps folder.

2. if it is a .ppf u need to get ppf o matic if u need additional help on ppf patching ask so one or u can PM me.

and so on there are more ways i believe but these are the only one i use are ppf and map files

if u donwload a map and it has a .map all u do is extract it and place it inot ur map folder in teh halo pc directory..

for .ppf just use ppf o-matic
