muzzle flash

how do i get rid of it...with an auto sniper it gets really annoying because you cant see where you are shooting.

just go into HHT go, then go to the weapons place, go to sniper, dependencies, look for "eff - sniper fire bullet" or something like that and
swap it with something or just null it out. hope this helps

cheating.

Modifying a weapon effect in that way is rounds for cheating online. It was implented there for a reason.

umm, read his post, he was saying that he wanted to do this for an automatic sniper rifle. that is a MOD! you are saying it is fair to make an full auto sniper rifle but NOT to get rid of the muzzle flash? and anyway, i wasn't even telling HOW to do it! i was recommending that he mod another weapon!

not trying to be a jerk, but that is not cheating as far as i know.

and, if i can say, there is no point to cheat in halo 1 because you cant cheat in other servers unless thaty have the same map. And if you hack really bad in your own server people will just leave....

plus this is for the trial so no hht

I reread his post. Saw nothing of a mod. He never said anything about a mod.

What are you talking about? Me saying it's fair to make a full auto sniper? I don't get you. Please recall where I said that.

There have been many incidents where people have asked if they could remove/fix something, and people told them how to. For example, I've seen people ask if they could change certain textures to make them brighter. That can be used in an incident of cheating.

If he had posted he was working on a mod, then it would be understandable. But he didn't. Fine by me if you aren't considered about the safety of playing online in Halo, but I sure as hell am.

I was expecting a sort of post like that from here anyways. Get a bit of background info before hand, and look at the posts carefully.

He was talking about how the Muzzle Flash gets annoying, didn't recall the word mod.

You can cheat in other servers with texture hacks, zoom hacks, etc. You can't cheat in servers with vehicle hacks, weapon hacks, etc.
Textures and all only apply to you, making you the one able to see them. Aka...increased zoom. You have the ability, no one else does. Vehicles on the other hand sync, so you can't.

EDIT: Ah, trial. You can't in the first place. Sorry about that. Just trying to make a point clear for future reference.

i think it was DECOY and phenom who found a way to edit blodgulch.map's hex to allow it to be opened in sparkedit and hht...

i assumed that when he said auto sniper he meant he had made it fully automatic like a machine gun, and so the constant flash obstructed the view. that's what happened to me when i did that mod. and i didn't know he had the trial. and i am sorry for getting pissed

i was finding hostility in your post where there was none.
