HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok, firstly, I am very new to Halo PC modding. I have only gotten 2 mods to work, the 3rd person on the front page, and the one on Blood Gulch that makes it jungle like with the trees and the machine gun sniper.

Ok, I want to know if I need PPF so I can create mods and use them in Halo PC.

My friend says no(who is a great modder)

Whenever I do a modification to a gun, like make the pistol have infinte ammo with no reload, and save...the whole section turns blank.

Thats what I need help with.
So can you like post how to make it work here, or IM it to me through AIM?

ok first of all when u click save all the boxes r supposed to go blank again

If you Look around or search for tuts that should help.

when u hit the save button it saves your modification kinda restarts halomap tools close hmt open the map u edited in halo and the pistol will still have infinate ammo

last time i checked, you only needed to hit save if you preformed a meta swap, if you are just changing fields in the right-hand window, you don't need to do anything but hit enter, as that section writes data directly to the file on the hard disk, instead of saving values in RAM to be written in later.
