energy sword

hey i got the energy sword into bg (no questions on that please stay on subject) and i could no where on this site find how to make it not shoot....i made it so everything in HMT3 under clip and proj. are 0, and it doesnt shoot, but still shows blue and overcharges when you press the fire key....any help?

well if u send it to me i can see what u did and try to figure out how to get rid of the shooting

no i dont wanna steal any credit
i just want to play with the energy sword
and if i do figure it out i dont want credit playin with it wold be good enough

u can play with the sword...when my mod is done...can i get any real help, like someone who can tell me, not based off of what i've done...but what i CAN do if i was to start it over?
Hey, how did you get the energy sword into BG, can you at least answer when the mod is out?
thats an easy one! NOT.... i had to re-skin and model it...its not perfect, but ya know, ya play whatever card yer dealed

why dont you just use the meele attack on the energy sword it might work or you could make it so that it only had 1 shot and put the over charge to 0

well easy enough said....but i did it offa the plasma RIFLE so what i meant by overcharge was overheat...and in HMT3....it shows ammo 0 already...sooooooo yeah sorry for the misunderstanding
and....i already made the sword so that the melee from anywhere is 1 hit KO so....yeah i want it so that it doesnt shoot '.'

one more question for those daring.... anyone know how to make it so a weap. has no crosshairs? i mean...i know how to change em....but how do i make none!?

well lets see, if you are talking about making the sword SHOOT im baffled. the only thing elites do with it is melee...so thats all you should be able to. just go to damage and make the melee for the sword damage super uberly awesome so you can slice guys in one slice

yeah have you not been reading? i made the sword uber strong for 1 hit KO's and thats the part that works... i want to make a sword that shoots to
STOP shooting so please read the whole forum and dont post unless you can tell me what i want to know....

To get rid of crosshairs and ammo just change hud with either master or empty. empty may have the little x but I think master is nothing. I'll try it in a moment and edit this post.
EDIT: Yup, master hud has only the health shields and grenades. So go to wphi and swap master hud for plasma rifle hud.
EDIT:To keep it from shooting go under projectile turn fired porjectiles to 0 and rof to 0, then check single fire and tirggerlock. Then go to effects and change the plasma rifle upper and lower fire along with overheat effects to something that is only a sound and is not needed, then change that sound to a sound that is inaudible. It should then take 2 mouse clicks to fire and should make only a barely audible noise and no visuals.
EDIT: The only fallback of this method is when you go to pick it up it shows the 'A' button instead of weapon name.
