HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I am making a machinima film Red vs Blue style, except without the aimer, pistol and health bar, so it will become full screen... I have a question, I want to know, since this movie will contain mods and will be on Halo PC, is there a mod for removing the part in HPC Lan games where it says "*insert name* killed" on the side where the messages that you type show up.... and if anyone could teach me or knows how could show me how to remove them.

that is gonna be a monster file, ive got an avi codec divx vid that 4 mins long and its 60 mb and thats not good quality, that file in good quality was a gig. hope u can find a way to make that smaller. Im sure theres a way that i have no idea about but if there is share the wealth

just use windows media formats(.wma) that compresses really well(in the new version you can pick buy file size) and it has pretty good quality

We have enough different compression formats and several different servers that would host it that its not big problem, right now. Our problem right now is with the pop-up text that comes up when you kill someone, its very impractical for movies that involve a ton of shooting and killing, and could make our movies much more injoyable. If ANYONE knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated and you would be acknoladged for doing so. Thanks.

Running it in double safemode might work. I mean running the commands "-safemode -safemode" it removes some of that junk (if not all.)

I figured it out, open up any map using a hex editor and search for the words you want to remove"was killed by" in the hex editor it should say this," .%.s. .w.a.s. .k.i.l.l.e.d. .b.y. .%.s. " instead of just deleting the letters, put a space inbetween, so it should look like this " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "
