Ok, after making various tutorials on meta and explaining it in forums I still hear people saying how the heck do we do it? So I'm posting this topic as Meta help. If you have any questions on Meta please post them here and maybe me or someone else that understands it will be glad enough to help. Jee I wish this were a sticky so it wouldn't be dragged to page 4 of this forum...

I think you did it wrong. Shotgun weapon - Meta Offset in weapons section. I can't tell you Meta Offset. IronForges site is down. Then open windows calculator in scientific mode in hexi - decimal. Then do Weapon Shotgun Meta Offset + AF2. You should see 0F00. Replace that first 0 with F to give you FF. Now save and your shotgun should shoot lots off bullets at a time.

I see offsets like 00AF69A - normal offsets shown to the black column on right (I know you have Hex Workshop Shadow) are always ended with a zero. I know this offset refers to one byte - say for example, I typed in the Go to... offset box "00AFA69A". It would take me to the line "00AFA690". If I click on a byte, it will change the offset, and one of them will have "00AFA69A". Is there a way to get inside the byte or something? I could probably start fooling around if I knew...

Are you in the wrong topic SirLuke? Vehicles flying? This is questions about Meta, not bragging you know some Meta.

Oh... Nevermind... I misread your post. Sorry. And ok, someone told you. Wasn't your find. Ok... got it. Also a little bit of all of this were in forums. You just put it all together. I'd just read the forum, not have it all explained to me. I think it's much easier that way.

Are you saying we need a whole category on Meta??? Woah... Meta really has gotten itself a title. But I do think though there should be a sticky in modding hex editing, and one in Meta.

Well I don't know I guess if you want 100 rockets outa rocket launcher I guess you can change the beginning of it from 0000 to FF00. It probably won't work but I guess you could try.

Umm that's not meta but here you go. Go to projectiles and then assault rifles bullet value and change that to MC's value.

Also from before. The ROF thing, well just do AF2 and look around for the ROF. I made the assault rifle shoot 360 bullets without reloading once. Just look for clues. Hmmm. Well, the AR shoots 60 bullets. 60 is 3C in hexi. So let's now look around for 3C in the meta data after adding AF2. Hmm, no, no, no, oh there it is. Now lets change that to FF. Save... Cool, the AR doesn't reload for a long time.
Note: After doing this you will have no shots. You can't pick up ammo. You have to get a new gun then pick up AR. And as for ROF. I did that a while back. Pretty cool.

Also for the newest question. Mp is Campaign mode and normal is just normal name. Like needler mp is used in campaign and needler is used in lans, online, whatever. When there is no mp in campaign you just use the regular one that's there.
