A Problem with exploding projectiles

hi im making a mod for halo pc and i was trying to make it so the bullets of a assalt rifle did damge to someone if they did not directly hit hit them ( like explosion damage from a rocket luancher) i altered loads of things in hmt i couldent get it to work also i dont want to directly swap the rocket luancher projectile with that of the assalt rifle cus thats nooby :P and i dont want the asslat rifle to fire big ugly rocket models :P

can someone help me out ???

Hmm... there is more than one way. You could.. change the effect in HHT... from Impact whatever to explosion rocket or frag explosion.
