HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Can somebody please tell me how to make things transparent in photoshop? I use Paint Shop Pro 8 but I also have photoshop. I just use PSP8 for skinning because I think it's easier to use. But im having transparency problems so I want to see if doing it in photoshop would make it work.

I just want to know how to make the backround color transparent.

well kind of depends what u want transparent, if u want an entire layer on ur layer toolbar there is an opacity bar that u can change and the same goes for single colors. its very easy to do in both programs, just find the opacity number on the toolbars.
