PING IN MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is kind of off topic but for some reason i have bad ping in multiplayer and the annoying thing is that i have cable but my ping is like 1024 and stuff like that. can someone tell me how to lower it down to like the 100's and 60's and stuff
PLEZ HELP ME!!!!

there could be about 10 diff reasons why you have high ping

1 your connection sucks
2 other people's connections sucks
3 the server sucks
4 the server has a bad internet connection
5 packet loss
6 far a way from server.

in non 1337 speak, you might need to close all programs being used by...the current pc user....close em all except explorer.exe or any system and network processes...stufff
get Aston from astonshells.com it replaces explorer.exe with a program taking up less resources..it makes me w00t

i have cox cable...it sucks cox.....190 kbps upload, 384 kbps download
