Plasma flamethrower?

Can anyone give me a hand making a plasma flamethrower? I've tried almost everything I can think of. I really just want to know how to make the defoliant look like plasma, blue or green, but preferably blue.

Either change the bitmap or I think the fire for flame is under effects, particles, or particle systems. Change the one for the Flamethrower flame to Plasma Flurry Blue Stuff.

The defoliant is under particle systems. So switching it with any other particle (such as plasmagrenadearmed) does not work. And I don't know which bitmap(s) is for the defoliant flame. I can only find the burning flame bitmap or change the few flame particles there are to plasmagrenadearmed.

ive switched between particle system and particles before, but ill take a look, if it works ill get back to you.
