Pelican Help

I need to know how to make a pelican spawn without making it a projectile. I have successfully PMI'ed it into bloodgulch. But I need to know how to make it spawn in a game as soon as the game starts. Thanks.

i think u want to swap a vehicle with the pelican or a object with the pelican.... i am not sure cause i did not get it in succesfully but that is wat i am guessing

I don't know how I would go about swapping a vehicle for another vehicle. Or a pelican for another object. Please someone who knows how to do this help me.

ok go down to the vehicle branch. click the pelican. copy the number up top(the meta) and paste it over another vehicle and save.

I'm not horribly knowledgeable about this sort of thing but apparently you can't put anything new in. So i guess the only way to do everything is change the shit that's already there. Correct me if i'm way off =P (I probably am)

well i wanted to put a downed covie dropship leaning against a base in beaver creek as scenery, how would I go about doing that?

Just PMI the dropship into beaver creek. Then in HMT change the vehicle to a scenery object then swap it for another scenery piece in sparkedit. That should work.

PMI means Perfect Model Injection. For a tutorial on how to do it go to

NOTE!!!!
Swaping the pelican for another vehicle or the messy way in SparkEdit is not the only way to get the pelican in.
You can just copy the Meta number of the pelican manually (Ctrl + C) and go to the scenery tab and paste the Meta (Ctrl + P) into some rock scenery that you wouldn

I really don't want to get rid of any aspect of a map to inject a vehicle. I remember there was a tutorial on getting a banshee into DangerCanyon. It had you change the vehicle into scenery then in Sparkedit duplicate a piece of scenery and swap it for the banshee scenery. Then you canged the bansee back into a vehicle. But I can't seem to get that to work.

If you are just swapping the Meta, do you still need to PMI the project. I was going to take both the downed Pelican and Covie Dropship from 343GS but I am having a hard time with the PMI (can't seem to get it right for whatever reason). To do that, I can just swap the Meta without PMI?

No. You have to PMI the pelican and dropship into the map you want or else it won't work. Which PMI tutorial are you using?
