i need some help, i know how to import sounds into halo, but i can't figure out how to record the sounds i want. I have the windows sound recorder thing, and i have goldwave, but my microphone isn't working.

Is there a way to record sounds that are playing on my computer, instead of off the microphone, so i can like record stuff from things like the halo 2 e3 demo? can u do this using goldwave? if so, how? and can anyone help on getting the microphone working, like what settings do i need to change for it to work?
thanks

I personally use cool edit 2000, which I downloaded, I just tested it today to get sound out of that demo, was attempting to nab the battle rifle sound
Anyways if you hope to stick it into hpc, u need the xbox adpcm codec.. cool edit won't enable u to save into that format, so u will have to use sound recorder, because that will. Just save as .wav from cool edit and open it in sound recorder, and save again into the format.
try kazaa or something for cool edit...

it says kazaa is not connected, so i go to file, connect, and it does nothing

nevermind now its working =)
EDIT: i got the sound into halo, but it is all fuzzy sounding (for lack of better words). Is it because it needs to be the same length as the original sound?
