For about two months now I have been searching for the XBOX assault rifle for the PC, I have seen it in use andhave been told that it was out. In the XBOX Halo, the AR is shiny and beautiful, but on the PC, no matter what video card you have you cannot have the same AR as was in the XBOX version, it has lost it's shine, it has a poor reflection and the AR just seems ugly to me.

Can any of you please tell me how to get the XBOX Assault Rifle (reflection, and detail) for Halo PC, but since I might not have the supplies for it, can you make it for me and post it here please, and notify me (and then tell me how to do it).

just use photoshop to make the bitmaps "shinier", or perhaps give it a different cubemap. But you'll probably want to edit the assault rifle multipurpose bitmap for the most significant results.

I don't have photoshop, and I don't even know how to do all of that.
But I just want it for what the XBOX assault rifle really is, reflection cubemap and AR detail.

I released a fix for this a long time ago for PC. I don't know what happened to it for PC, but I have one for CE. It fixes the teleporter/flag pole shader.



The multishader texture in PC/CE was missing. Just plain blank. I don't know why. So, a fellow friend of mine at the GBX forums a long time ago extracted the textures from Xbox, and I fixed them up so they would work properly in PC/CE.

Nothing else was really modified, I've checked the shader file (besides the display multipurpose, which doesn't really do much because it is a counter).
The shine is exactly the same. It's just the multipurpose shader was missing in PC and CE, so it didn't map it correctly. I think it's missing in Mac also.

I think they made all the weapons less shiny and more sucky mainly becuase some people have crappy computers and vid cards...

SunnySharma, is it alright if you can put it up again (if you can't find it, then can you please try and make the fix again (when you have the time)(very sorry)(on this topic)), since I don't know where it is either, I have searched for months and could not find it, not even on gearbox. If you can, please try to find it for the PC version and put it here, I really don't do much CE, but when I do, the maps that I have already have that AR. I found your post on gearbox with the fix for the AR and Teleporter for Halo CE, but still no luck for the PC version.
