Giving the tank a sheild

I was wondreing if it would be easy enough to give a tank a sheild, in the same way the mc or elite has one, By editing the collisin model with the great new collision plug in. I thought That since the the tank has nothing under "sheild" and "health" Id be able to enter some numbers, maybe just copy over the values of the mc, and a cool energy sheild would apear over the tank, but, didnt work. Does the shield work as a seperate model? or is it really simply a part of the collsiion model? And if i gave a tank health, could I "kill" (disable) it?

Why do you wanna give the tank a shield anyway?
Actually I would think you would swap the tank's shader with the shield shader. But that's just my $0.02.

are you CRAZY? why WOULDN'T you give a tank a sheild? I want all my vehciles to have AT fields, (heh..wait,

)
Anyway, since my hogs and ghosts fly, I want the tank to have SOME sort of advantage, and a sheild is the answer.

Not really. Giving the tank more resistence to attacks than it already has is pointless. The ghost will continue death-strafing you and the banshee will just hover right above pounding away. The answer to the tank's deficiencies is greater turret response speed and vehicle speed and manueverability.
But try what I suggested if you insist on having a shield.

"Giving the tank more resistence to attacks than it already has is pointless." WTF are you talking about? It barely has any defenses, only if your like facing the opposite direction of your oponent, and if your not, one sniper, or any weapon for that matter will kill you with no problem. It's a big target, and s sheild is a much better idea than speed, or turret response, which are very un original and boring.
"ghost will continue death-strafing you and the banshee will just hover right above pounding away"
No, its an easy target, and besides, it depends on what your playing with, if you have homiung rockets, or any homing weapon, or flak rockets,m it wont be hard to take out a flying ghost.

Uh, you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed are you...
Sure, shields provide better resistance. For about 5-8 more seconds before impending doom returns.
If you had manuverability and turret response, you could turn and put a shell into that pesky sniper's abdomen before he could even peer through the scope. The damn death-strafing ghost would get his ass blown to the sky before he could make another run.
Shields just make you a big target, moving slow, with a glowing peice of paper wrapped around it.
Plus, if you get in a good position and turn your turret around (180 degrees), you are invincible to bullet fire. I think that's enough shielding.

If more resistence is what you want, why not just increase the MC's shield? Technically that's what's being worn-down anyway. It would be a much simpler mod that would accomplish the same thing.
