Ok, I haven't posted here in like months, but anyway, I recently stumbled upon a way to add new weapons into maps without replacing old ones, while before, you would have to replace an older weapon with the newer one. I'm not talking about making a completely new weapon mind you, but it will seem like it. What I want to know is what you think about this mod I plan to make for Death Island:

More vehicles (like pelican and wraith and such)
A few new weapons (put in by the way I mentioned above)
Different models and skins and some other simpler stuff

It may not sound like much, but I think it will be prety good. Tell me what you think.

What? Ok, before, you had to replace a weapon already in the map with a new one to add a new one. Say you wanted to duplicate a weapon because you have a good model and skin for it, but you don't want to get rid of the old one, you would duplicate the weapon and then replace another weapon with the new one. I figured out a way around that, so you can have new weapons without replacing old ones.

Can't you just rebuild the map with the same weapon?

That's basically what duplicating a weapon is. However, when you do that, if you don't do it the way I figured out, you have to replace an old weapon with the duplicated one.

Yeah, I've been doing just fine in this modding community for almost a year now, I don't need anyone to tell me that. And I don't mean to sound rude or anything by that.

I've found ways to do this with meta injection in HHT, but the only thing that doesn't work is the models. You CAN inject a model meta over something else, but if you modify that, the original will be modified as well, as if they run off some kind of underlying database which stores all the models, kinda like sounds and bitmaps, but there's no models.map, it's like integrated and hidden in each map file somewhere...

(I'm talking about meta injection, not meta swapping)
