i was "censored" for telling you all somethings that i guess were umm secret .. about seeing trhu walls and such so i can give detail or they will censor them so... umm im me or something ... and if you lock this you are a complete and utter bitch because technically i didnt say anything i wasnt supposed to muahahahahaha.. ummm ya..

Walka is a bit excessive with the locking of topics, but as a former moderator I can tell you it is a carnal sin to make a topic about your opinions of a moderator, or what they do with their power. Save that for a private message to an admin.

as long as you are modding something and not entering a cheat then i will protect this thread (obviously you cannot have flame wars cause i said that) but as long as you have figured out a way to mod to do whatever you want and you are displaying this in a reasonable fasion i will protect this thread (obviously i cannot restore it if it is deleted)
Walka if you want to delete this thread then you will pm me first, you can only delete or lock it if you have a good reason...
oh, and -=]-[ex=- i suggest u dont vioce ur opinions of a moderator over a thread as suggested by Lime...

Well, the "information" which he was complaining about was, for all conventional purposes, cheating. It involved taking away the effects of active camo, and seeing through walls. I am not sure about Halo mod's stance on cheating, but most sites have stern rules on it.

so he would in essence mod the active camo so it instead could see through walls?
hey, as long as it only works on modded maps i believe its fair.. if it is a graphics card hack or sumthin like that i will have to delete the thread.. but a mod is a mod and all the power to him

No. He was talking about making the active camo visible client side, and all of the walls in a level invisible (client side also), there by giving himself an unfair advantage. It had nothing to do with a mod. In fact, he boasted about his ability to cheat. Walka promptly edited the thread and locked it. Bah, I am just going to stop, this is an issue for you moderators.

... i haven't been on in days.
i don't know what it is that makes you think that everytime a thread is locked im the one who locked it. I'm not the only op, and i haven't locked any threads lately.
I hope that in the future you won't get angry after seeing your threads locked, if it is locked or deleted, there is a reason, and i trust you won't argue my or any other of the moderator/admins decisions.

Since when is it wrong to cheat in a game anyway? If he really wanted to broadcast a cheat, he'd make his own site about it. 10min. in Geocities could spread every little hack and cheat out there.
And btw, if theres a problem with MOD's that the public is complaining about, I suggest hiring "older" Moderators, with much more experience.

Let me rephrase this...MODerating. Which is your job I suppose. If people keep complaining about a MOD (not you in particular) I feel as an Administrator and Lead Moderator at a paysite, that the MOD should be replaced.

i don't believe that cheating in order to give yourself an unfair advantage during multiplayer is tolerated here. it shouldn't be anywhere. I hate multiplayer cheaters

It happens regardless if you want it or not. It exists in MMORPG's through exploits. The fact that there are multiple sites out there for cheating, for any online game, just lets you know that it will always exist. Ofcourse it shouldnt be tolerated if its for the wrong reasons, but technically, by MODing Halo period would be cheating (Cracking the original binary), whether they permit it or not.

Alas, modding is not malicious, which in essence is what makes cheating bad.
