making breakable glass

yea i know if u make a piece of wood and change its material it will give off shards when u shoot it but i really want to know is how u make the actuall stuff like in that lvl with the 2 bridges (single player) and there is glass on teh first lvl and u could shoot it and drop down to the 2nd lvl of hte bridge

im not sure but i think that type of glass is a scenary, not a material.

do u know where to get it cus i have looked at all the sp maps and i cant find that bridge....

i'm not posotive but i think it would either require a nice bit of hex-editing, or it can only be done it halo ce
