Halo ce and i cant find data

ok i just started to mod and make maps and i was looking at a tutorial and it says open halo root and click data well i dont have data in my halo root i looked all over my pc to find the data and i cant find it i dont know were it is and halo ce is halo combat evolved right the pc cd. please post

No, Halo CE is Halo Custom Edition. Its not the original Halo on the CD-ROM. You need to download CE at a site like fileplanet. And then you also need the Halo Editing Kit, the HEK, which can be found there as well, if my memory serves me correctly.
