HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

see heres the probablem..... whenever i download a mod / and or map i cant get 'em to work like in the read-me when it says "back up your existing halo map files" or what ever does that mean like take them out of the folder and put them into a folder where i can find it l8er or what.
Or when there is no read me at all. even when i follow the instructions in the read thing it still doesnt work. PLEASE dont flame me for being so increadibly n00by

Copy the map and paste it somewhere else. Are you applying a PPF or a full .map? Are you sure it's for PC and not CE?

lol im only kiddin man, I didn't know how apply a mod at first either. Ok what you might want to do is make a new folder inside your halo folder named "map backup". That is where you keep all the ORIGINAL map files that came with halo. After you get your backup map folder established all you have to do is put a mod that you may download inside the halo MAPS folder and then it should work. If you don't want the mod to be in affect anymore then just copy the original map file from "map backup" and paste it inside the halo map folder and replace the modded map.
