Changing Projectiles

Is there a way to make a weapon (EX: pistol) shoot a frag grenade?!?!?!

Yeah. Go to [proj] and swap the meta of the pistol bullet with a frag grenade. Or if you use HHT just swap the pistol's projectile dependency with a frag grenade.

. jk, that was a fair question, are u new to modding?
wait a sec, if u just change the meta, wont the frag 'nade just drop infront of u? or is that what you wanted?...

correct, the nade just falls
after the swap you need to edit the projectile itself
give a start-speed of something around 20-40
make he gravity somewhere around 15-25
and make the final speed 0 to 2 or so.

but don't change the arc of the grenade unless you want it to bounce all over the map

thx for your help but one more question i did what you guys said but now the grenade wont explode!?!?! So it could be an error on my part. Any suggestions?

maybe you cant see it. I swapped plasmas for assault rifle bullets and sometimes I dont see them explode.
I dunno, maybe some of the settings cause it to do something weird...

if you change the arc at all, it won't detonate. also check to see what your explode delay is in the projectiles section of HMT

or maybe you swapped it with a grenade that doesnt explode. like the one youre supposed to pick up.

how do you know the differecne if your switching one with the one you pickup or the one that explodes???

The one you're switching is in the list of projectiles. It doesn't sound like you did that part wrong though. It probably does have to do with the projectile settings.

make sure you swapped in the .proj grenade, not the .equip one.
and the nade won't explode if it just bounced unless you give it a life-span value
